Our Trip To Sacramento: Day 4

Day 4: The Wedding Day

Just like the other days in Sacramento, we woke up and headed down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The whole restaurant was filled with wedding guests from near and far. It was fun meeting some of Lyndon's family I have met before and also family from the grooms side.

After breakfast, Lyndon's mom, Kem, and I headed up to the bridal suite to check on Kathy (The bride) to see if she needed anything.

After we made it back to the room, we headed to the swimming pool again. We swam for a while and then we got the boys down for their naps before the wedding.

We were on the 2nd shuttle to the wedding site at 3 PM. The shuttle was a huge "party bus" with lights on the walls and floor or the bus. Alden enjoyed that. The downfall: It was 108* outside and the air conditioning broke. The windows didn't open and so there was no air movement. It was a 20 minute ride to the site. It was HOT!!

The wedding was at The Old Sugar Mill in Roseville, CA. It is now a winery so the building had to stay a comfortable 65* to keep the wine cool. No complaints for me!

The wedding ceremony took place in the barrel room of the winery and the reception was in the main hall of the winery. Such a beautiful wedding. Too bad I'm not a wine drinker. It was endless wine all night. The wedding was catered with prime rib dinner. YUM! The boys were exhausted by the end of the night.

The shuttle to take us home from the wedding was a stretch Hummer Limo. Alden LOVED it! Collyn slept through it. We didn't leave the wedding until after 11 PM. Way past our boys bedtimes!

It was a wonderful wedding and Kathy was a beautiful bride!

We were all exhausted from all the fun that day.
