Our Trip To Sacramento: Day 1

Lyndon's aunt was getting married right outside of Sacramento and Lyndon was asked to perform the ceremony for them. Of course, he said yes. We were off for the 10 hour drive to Northern California (an hour away from where will be living next month).

The first day started around 10 AM. Lyndon's parents drove their van, so we rode with them. They picked us up and it was rainy and cold. Probably 65 degrees outside. Strange weather for this time of year. We drove to Reno that afternoon and pulled into the Sands Regency hotel around 5 PM.

We ate dinner at the hotel's dinner buffet. Thank goodness kids eat free at buffets. Collyn at a ton of pasta and Alden had many helpings of dinner and dessert. After dinner, we all got in our swimsuits and headed to the hotel pool. I wasn't too impressed with it, but it is Reno, NV so what do you expect. It's a casino. The pool was about 100 yards away from the actual hotel and I don't think they cleaned poolside for a few days. It was not impressive. We stayed for about 10 minutes and Alden was done.

We headed back to the room to enjoy a quiet evening and get some rest to drive more the next day.
