My 12 Week Doctors Appointment

Yesterday, I had my 12 week prenatal appointment. Lyndon had to work, so he wasn't able to come to the appointment with me. Sad day. Thanks to Lyndon's mom, Kem. She picked up Alden in the doctor's parking lot and took him for the hour so I could go to my appointment. :)

Everything with baby looks amazing. We were able to hear the heartbeat. Our little ones heartbeat was around 150-160. Right smack dab in the middle. Everything with me looked good. They said my heart was racing a little bit, but tell a girl who hates needles that shes going to get her blood drawn and then check my vitals... Yeah- your heart would be racing too. :)

Nothing too exciting happened at the appointment. Other than listening to the heartbeat. We were able to find it instantly which made me happy.

Next month is my 16 week appointment. More updates then! :)

Rama Lama Bang Bang

The Next Step performed at a local basketball game this last weekend. The gymnasium was PACKED! The game was against a school about 30 miles from us and they are our rivals. In the end, Weiser won in overtime. What a great game to perform at.

The dancers have been working extremely hard the past couple months on this routine. The routine is based around zombies being controlled by mad scientists until the zombies take over. The cute thing is, the zombies are little ones and scientists are the teenagers.

We warmed up in the cafeteria. The girls were all super nervous. But, once they got out there, they did amazing.

The older girls performing

The whole group together

The younger ones

The routine was amazing! I have heard nothing but good things about it. Thanks to my teachers, Makenzie, Maria, and Emilie the number was put together nicely. I couldn't have done it without them. We are performing again this weekend and a girls basketball game. I'm going to try to record it so I can post it.

Week 10

So, I am officially 10 weeks pregnant. I haven't taken a picture of my belly yet, because there is no belly yet. I weighed less than I did when I got pregnant with Alden, so I have a little catching up to do.

My pants are getting a little snug, but not too much yet. I haven't pulled the maternity clothes out. What is nice, is I teach dance, so I can wear yoga style pants and a comfy shirt and no one questions it. I love it.

My morning sickness has been getting much better. I started out sooner with morning sickness this time, so I'm thinking it is going to end earlier. I still have days when I'm miserable, but I have more good days than bad. My exhaustion is little worse this time, but I think it is because I am chasing a 1 year old around.

There is no movement yet. I felt movement last time around 15-17 weeks. So, in the next couple months I will feel something, I hope! :)

I haven't really had any cravings yet. But, I've finally just felt like eating again so I'm happy that I can eat without having nausea.

Right now, I feel like this one is a boy. But, who knows until we have an ultrasound to find out. Either gender would be great.

I will keep updating every once in a while. not every week, but probably every month or so. :)

1st Birthday Party for Buggie

Alden had a great birthday party. My morning sickness has been pretty bad lately so the morning of his party (Sunday) we didn't even make it to church. I layed on the couch with the buggie and cuddled and watched movies until it was time to get everything ready.

We had his party at the dance studio. Lots of friends and family showed up. It's amazing to know how loved this little boy is.

He got some amazing gifts. Two chairs, lots of fire truck toys, cars, stacking toys, books, and clothes.

He also had his very first cake. It was a little bug. :) He loved it. A few hours later he wasn't fond of it... he threw it all up. He doesn't eat much sugar so his body reacted to it I think.

He loved hearing everyone sing Happy Birthday to him.

It was a great party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BOY!

Alden is one today. I can't believe it's been a whole year. He is such an amazing little boy. I couldn't ask for a better son.

In his first year, Alden has done some amazing things and gone to some amazing places. I can only imagine what next year will bring. For sure, we know he is going to become a big brother.

We love you Alden. You are the best little boy.

Tomorrow we are having a birthday party for him. :)

It's Neverending....

So, I took Alden into the doctor this morning. I found out, that yes, Alden did have the stomach flu, but on top of that... He has a sinus infection.

In one week, we have gone from getting teeth, to the flu, to a sinus infection. It's been a long week.

He is now on an antibiotic. he's been having trouble sleeping because he can't breathe. He is still on Pedialyte and water... no milk... and crackers, applesauce, bananas, and bread. His tummy seems to be doing better. Hopefully this antibiotic will start kicking in and he will feel better. If tomorrow he is feeling better, I will add some more to his diet. Like chicken soup or something...

Eww... The Flu!

I hate winter. I don't think I can express that any more. I'm a fan of warm summer days, BBQ's, Swimming, the sun...

What comes with winter? Cold and Flu season. ERR!!

For the past 2 weeks, Alden has had a nasty cold. Runny nasty nose, a bad cough... We have been watching him like a hawk to make sure he is always doing okay. This is the time when I enjoy having him sleep in bed with us. It's really nice to wake up, roll over and check on him and go back to sleep.

Yesterday, he started getting worse. His cough sounded horrid and his nose was running green. Yum huh? Are you eating right now?? Lyndon and I decided we would take him in to the doctor to get things checked out.... Yeeahhhh... Right....

Last night, he decided to get the stomach flu... All over our bed. I was up ALL NIGHT with a sick baby. I felt so bad for him. All day today I have been sanitizing the house, washing bedding, washing clothes and towels and taking care of a sick boy. He's been running a temperature around 99-100 degrees all day.

I'm ready for spring. I hate this time of year.

I'm hoping he will be better in the morning and cross our fingers that we don't get it.
