Parker Came Home

My sister and Parker are doing great. They were able to come home yesterday.

We all got to hold Parker. Even Alden was able to. It was quite an experience. He REALLY enjoyed holding Parker, but didn't want to let him go. When I tried to take Parker from him, he grabbed onto his head and held on tight. It was a little scary and I felt bad for my sister. Her 1 day old baby was getting attacked by my 1 year old. He wasn't doing it to be mean, he just really enjoyed holding him.

Parker was passed around to everyone. He's a cutie!

Here is Hannah holding Parker
Grandma and Parker
Hayden and Alden sat together and ate cheese and crackers while Parker was being passed around. :)

29 Weeks

11 Weeks to go! Can you believe it?! This pregnancy has been going by SO quickly!

When I was pregnant with Alden, pregnancy seemed to drag on. This one, I don't think I'm going to be ready when he comes. I have so much to do still. We are still in the buying process, we have to move, set up a new house, get things done for the dance studio, buy a few more baby items... Nothing like a ton of pressure in the 3rd trimester.

ABOUT BABY: Collyn is doing great. He is kicking up a storm and very very VERY active! He is sitting a lot lower than Alden did. He is more in my pelvis than in my ribs.

ABOUT ME: I have gained 25 lbs this pregnancy. Not fond of that. My face is now filling out. I don't have the energy I used to. I am enjoying cooking and cleaning more with the nesting stage kicking in, but I have to take a lot more breaks. No stretch marks yet. I have been having trouble sleeping at night. I am more uncomfortable and I have to go to the bathroom at least 2 times a night. I guess that means I'm drinking enough water. :)

I can't believe I'm in my 3rd trimester and in the last leg of pregnancy! WOW!!!

Here is silly Alden.... He wanted his picture taken with his cheesy grin!

Welcome! Parker Ryan Netherton!

I have a new nephew!!! Alden has a new cousin!! His first BOY cousin!! :)

Parker was born yesterday, May 28th at 10:09 AM. 7 lbs 2 oz. Congratulations to my sister and Brother-In-Law Sarah and Clint! :)

Sunday night I got a call from my dad saying that my sister went into labor. He was heading to the hospital will my mom and they were watching my sister's girls, Alexie and Emma. I said I would watch the girls for them so they could go be with my sister. Around 10 PM that night, the girls showed up and I set up a sleep-over bed on the living room floor. Thank goodness Lyndon agreed to sleep on the couch with them so they wouldn't get scared. There was no way at 7 months pregnant I could comfortably sleep on the couch.

We got up the next morning around 8 AM and I made some breakfast. Lyndon didn't have to work because it was Memorial Day. What a blessing! We were planning on going to the Zoo, but we didn't go. My dad called and told me she was almost ready to deliver. I told him to call back when the girls could head over to see their new baby brother!

To stall (Since the girls knew what was going on... they are 7 and 5 years old) I had them take baths, I did their hair and we went to the store that is about a block away from our house to get some gifts for little Parker. Emma picked out booties, shampoo and diapers. Alexie picked out a blanket, socks, and lotion. They also got a balloon for him.

We made it to the hospital about 1 hour after she delivered. The girls were so excited. They did so good walking through the hospital. Nice and quiet. They even got to hold him for a minute before he was passed back to Mom to eat. :) The day was quite an adventure.

We are very excited to have Parker in our family! He will definitely be loved.

Parker has more hair than Alden, and Alden is 16 months old! He's definitely a cutie pie!

Home Buying :)

Oh, Home buying. SO FUN!

There are so many steps to buying a home. I never realized how much was put into buying one. I knew it was a long process but I didn't realize you were on pins and needles the entire time.

My hormones can't handle much more! :)

This last week we were supposed to close on our house. We got all the way through all the hoops and the mortgage company had to sign the loan. With the loan we are getting, we have OUR loan company, and then another lender above them. The top lender didn't agree with the loan because there were no egress windows in the basement. We now have a contractor going and putting an egress window in the basement this next week and then we can re-sign the papers.....

I'm hoping that we will be able to get moved before the hot hot weather comes. In Idaho, that means around the end of June/Early July. Right now, the weather is still in the high 60's - mid 70's so it would be great to be able to get going soon! :) Cross our fingers

It helped pay for costumes. There are about 90 boys and girls who performed that night. It was an hour and a half show. What a great night!

SO BUSY!

There is so much going on in our lives right now.... I can't believe I'm surviving at this point. I am over the peak of the mountain of being so busy, but hopefully our lives will slow down a tad before Collyn arrives. Here are some updates on us. PREGNANCY: 28 weeks I had my 28 week doctors appointment and glucose test. I passed the test with flying colors. Collyn LOVED the drink, but I could barely gag it down. He kicked like crazy after I was done drinking it. I have gained 28 pounds. I'm not very happy about that weight gain, but I didn't cry this time. Last pregnancy I think I cried every time I got on that scale. The doctors office scales have to be at least 10 pounds off. At least that is my theory! :) Pregnancy is going good. I'm getting some Braxton Hicks contractions. They hit right around the same time I got them with Alden. This time I know how to manage them I little more, so they don't worry me as much. No stretch marks on the belly yet. Collyn knows people's voices. He wiggles like crazy with his big brother and daddy talk to him. Here is the most updated picture of my belly. It is from the dance recital this weekend. I am with the other dance teachers, Emilie, Makenzie, and Maria.
HOME BUYING: We are in the process of buying our home. We passed the inspection and appraisal and now it is a waiting game with the Mortgage company. The process of buying a home is ridiculous! I didn't know there were so many loop holes! Geez! The house we are buying is a cute 3 bedroom 1 bath house with a 2 car garage in the back. There is a full basement with a laundry room, family room, office, and pantry. We are so excited to be moving into it. We are just waiting for them to tell us we can move! :)
HOME SELLING: During the process of buying our new home, we were informed that the house we are renting went onto the market. So, it meant we had to hurry a little more to get out of our rental and into our new home. During all this chaos (You will see how much more chaos) we had the realtor come to our rental and take picture to post on their website. We are definitely ready to be done with this process. Here is our rental house that we have lived in for 2 years.
DANCE: The dance season came to and end. We had our dance recital this last weekend and Lyndon said there were about 400 people who showed up to it! :) Very impressive! Everything went great, but of course I had to get everything ready (Including teaching 4 days last week) for the recital. I was EXHAUSTED by Sunday. All the dancers did a wonderful job and I can't wait until next year! :) We have one last performance this summer, but until then I have about 3 weeks off to enjoy with my family and get moved.
It has been crazy and hectic. I had so many plans with the blog, but they have been put on hold until all of this settles down. I will definitely keep everyone updated on things to come. :)

26 Weeks

I am now 26 weeks! ABOUT COLLYN: He is growing like crazy! He can now hear people around him. Alden loves kissing my belly and talking to him. He is gaining fat on that little body of his. He should be weighing a little over a pound and a half and around 14 inches in length. ABOUT ME: I have gained a total of 18 pounds this pregnancy. This is a lot less than last pregnancy. I have been trying to stay more active because I'm pregnant in warmer weather so I can get out and about. I'm getting more uncomfortable in the night and I have to go to the bathroom once. I haven't seen any stretch marks this pregnancy.... yet. Cross my fingers. No swelling yet. ABOUT THE FAMILY: Things are going great around our house. We are currently renting our home, and are in the process of buying our first home. We have to go through the inspection, and then we will be on our way. I pray everything will work out and we can move pretty soon. The dance season is almost over. Our recital is next weekend so I am getting everything ready for that. I was asked to be a guest judge for our local high school's cheerleading try-outs. I'm very excited to do that! Hopefully things will start slowing down before the baby gets here! :)

Spotlight Competition 2012

The Next Step Dance Studio competed at the Spotlight Dance Cup in Nampa, Idaho in April. It was such a great competition. We took 42 dancers to the competition and we had 6 routines compete. One routine got a 2nd place award in their category and 5 routines took a 3rd place award in their categories. For their first competition, I think it was definitely a success. It was so fun! Our studio even qualified for Nationals, even though we will not be going, because Nationals in a few weeks before my due date (And 2 of my teachers due dates) This was the first HUGE event that we went to while I have been director of the studio. I was a nervous wreck most of the day, but everyone did such a good job and enjoyed the day! :) Photobucket
