Spotlight Competition 2012

The Next Step Dance Studio competed at the Spotlight Dance Cup in Nampa, Idaho in April. It was such a great competition. We took 42 dancers to the competition and we had 6 routines compete. One routine got a 2nd place award in their category and 5 routines took a 3rd place award in their categories. For their first competition, I think it was definitely a success. It was so fun! Our studio even qualified for Nationals, even though we will not be going, because Nationals in a few weeks before my due date (And 2 of my teachers due dates) This was the first HUGE event that we went to while I have been director of the studio. I was a nervous wreck most of the day, but everyone did such a good job and enjoyed the day! :)
