High School Church Camp

Every year, Lyndon's youth kids go up to Cascade, ID for church camp. We went up there on Sunday to check on them. They were having such a good time, and happy to see Alden, of course.

The firefighters came and used their foam and let the kids play basketball on the knees in it. it was interesting to watch.

They also played different water sports.

They filled swimming pools with foam and played kick ball. The pools were the bases.

We stayed until dinner and then left for the night. It was fun to watch them.

A Night in Pendleton, OR

On our way home from our trip, we were about 3 hours from home and Mr. Alden started getting REALLY fussy! We decided to stop in Pendleton for the night. My parents were staying a hotel down the road so we met them for dinner on an Indian Reservation where there is a casino with a seafood buffet.

After dinner I decided to try a slot machine. I have never gambled before. I won $4.00. That was good enough for me. I still have that $4 in my wallet. :)

We went back to the hotel and relaxed for the evening, letting Alden wiggle and move and get energy out.

We left in the morning right before Alden's nap so he would sleep the rest of the way home.

Tillamook Cheese Factory

On our trip home, we drove an hour south to stop at Tillamook cheese factory for lunch.

We had an amazing lunch. I had a southwest chicken wrap! It was so good!

then, we took a tour of the factory!

The process was amazing to watch!

At the end of the tour we had cheese samples!

We couldn't leave the factory without getting Tillamook ice cream!
I had pumpkin. It was delicious. It tastes just like pumpkin pie!

Alden wanted to touch it. He got a tiny little bite.

Last Night

Our last night at the coast, we went back to the rocks to find more treasures. I had a hard time carrying Alden, so we stayed at the top by the road and watched them wander around. Lyndon took my camera and got a picture of a tiny crab.

Happy 30th Birthday Susan!

On our trip, Susan turned 30.

Being the nice sister I am, I bought her this "Over The Hill" hat! :)

Photobucket

For her birthday lunch, our entire family went to a local Seaside restaurant, Normas.

Hannah and I sat next to each other.

Hayden REALLY enjoyed the Tillamook ice cream for dessert!

Bumper Cars and Tilt-A-Whirl

In Seaside, they have an open building where there are bumper cars and a tilt-a-whirl. My neices, Sarah, and Johnny rode the tilt-a-whirl

Then, they needed an extra adult to take one of the kids on the bumper cars. I didn't really volunteer, but since they didn't have anyone I agreed. I got a little queezy, but Hannah and I had fun!
