Some Updates

There have been a few updates in my and Lyndon's life.

On a good note, there is only 7 months until Lyndon and I are husband and wife!

My mom and grandma found the centerpieces for the tables at the wedding. All we have to do is find some little things to go with it and those are done! Things are coming together slowly! Time is flying by!

Lyndon is no longer the Associate Pastor at the Weiser Christian Church. We both thought that since his internship had ended and he didn't know exactly when another job would arise, he would step down from his position. This means I am no longer coordinating the evening service there also. We have also decided that we would like to look around at different churches in the Treasure Valley and find one that better fits our needs.

Our wedding will still be at the Weiser Christian Church, because it has already been set up and we know and love the congregation.

Lyndon will be starting his last semester at Boise Bible College in January. I will be starting my second to last trimester at TVCC. We aren't sure yet where we are going to be living. As of now, we are looking at the Medford, Oregon area. But, that could change at any time.

Thought I would update everyone!

**MERRY CHRISTMAS**

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did. On Christmas Eve, Lyndon and I went to my sisters house for hot cocoa, hot cider, and Christmas cookies. All the kids were crazy and energetic because Santa was coming that night.

Then, we went out to Lyndon's house to celebrate his mom's birthday! Happy 37th Kem! Haha! Just kidding. Happy 47th!

Johnny slept in my room for the last Christmas he will be able to do that, and Kolton and Lyndon slept in the same room for the last Christmas. Johnny had a hard time going to sleep. He was too excited. We got up at 7:30 in the morning.

Lyndon got up at 5:30 because his nose was stuffed up and he couldn't breathe. Then, at 6:00, Kolton and Lyndon went and took care of one of their calves that wasn't doing good. Finally, around 7:15, they were able to open presents. It was definitelyan early start to the day.

We started at my house and watched the little girls open their presents. Then, we went to Christmas dinner at Lyndons house. It was DELICIOUS! I was stuffed. I opened presents there. Then, we went back to my house and spent some time there. At 7:00 p.m. we went with his family to the Zanelli's house.

This Christmas was a fun-filled Christmas. It was GREAT!

Check in again.

**Tis The Season**

For me, the last week has been CRAZY! But, I finally get to relax! Starting on Monday, as you know, I had the nasty flu. A horrible headache, fever, stuffy nose, etc. To make it even better, I had two finals that night. In the middle of the day, I took some medicine to help clear up my head. As I was about to leave for school I got a bloody nose. I finally got it to stop and I was 10 minutes late to my first final. I made it through my Speech and Spanish final. Then, the church had a board meeting, and I thought it was important for me to go, so I went. And, in the end, it was very very important for me to go. By the end of Monday night, I was exhausted!

On Thursday, I also had my Business Math final. I felt like I didn't do too well on it, but my grades turned out good. Speech: B. Spanish: A-. Business Math: B. Intro To Criminal Justice: B. And no, I don't think I'm going into the Criminal Justice Field. I needed an elective and it sounded fun.

On Saturday night, Lyndon and I had a "mini-date". He took me to Subway and got sandwiches. Then, we went to RedBox and rented a movie. We got to spend quality time together with no distractions. It was GREAT!

During the Sunday morning service they had the Children's Sunday School Program. I work in the nursery, so I had 6 kids go on stage and ring bells while McKenna sang Silent Night. It was adorable. The Sunday Night service went great. Lyndon preached a great sermon on Grace and Peace.

This past week, Lyndon has had projects, papers, you name it due. He has been so busy with school! This next week is his finals week. He is officially on Christmas Break this Thursday! I'm excited!

That is what went on last week. I should be getting some pictures! Look for them soon!

Crazy Weekend!

This last weekend was definitely interesting. My sister and her husband went on a trip to Las Vegas so my family watched her two girls. It was lots of fun having them around. My mom, grandma and I took Hannah, Hayden, and Johnny to the Festival of Trees and to Weiser Classic Candy for lunch. That night, Lyndon and I took the three to the Christmas parade with Sarah and her two girls and my grandma. They got to see Santa!! They were so excited.

The next morning, I got up bright and early to go babysit my other two neices, Alexie and Emma while my sister went to work. Lyndon came and helped. I started getting a sore throat in the middle of the day and didn't think anything of it. But the end of the night it was a full-blown sore throat, headache-- (The works). I woke up Sunday morning feeling terrible. I didn't have a voice, could barely move my neck and my nose was starting to run. I got up the energy to make it to church because it was the church elections and I thought it was important for me to be there.... In the middle of the service... my fever hit. I was MISERABLE! Lyndon is going to be the BEST husband EVER! He took great care of me.

That night we didn't have an evening service at church, so I didn't have to do anything for that. There was a community christmas program at the institute. Lyndon went to that with his family while I slept.

Yesterday, I still had a fever and everything, but I had two finals I had to go to. Lyndon was here until he had to go to school, but of course, he kept calling to check on me. I made it through the finals and actually passed them. Which was amazing to me. Today, I am feeling much better! Lyndon is in Boise at a funeral. He is singing there. I have to work so I wasn't able to go with him.

I can see Christmas break in the near future. I only have one final left!!! Then, I get to spend good, quality time with Lyndon!! The big plans for the break... Get the "Save The Date's" made and start working on the slideshow! I'm soooo excited!!!

Engagement Time

Shortly after Lyndon and I got engaged, his grandma wanted to put together a family engagement party for us. It was a BBQ at her house with a bonfire and lasso-golf. It was so much fun! We ate hamburgers and salads, amazing desserts and our families got to mingle and meet each other. This party was on August 23, 2008.

Our second engagement party was put on by my parents. It was an open house and people came and went the entire night. It was lots of fun with TONS of food. My mom worked REALLY hard on the food, cooking for days before. Our second engagement party was November 1, 2008.

Get To Know Us

Photobucket

I'm not officially a Haines... yet. Lyndon and I have 7 1/2 months until our wedding in July. We are both super excited... and definitely ready to get married. For a start... get to know us.

I'm Stacy. I'm pretty sure Lyndon will not have anything to do with blogging. I'm 21 years old and engaged to Lyndon. I was born in Ontario, Oregon and grew up in the cutest little town of Weiser. I graduated from Weiser High School in 2006 and started at Treasure Valley Community College in the fall of 2006 for my Associates degree in Business Management. I'm still working at that degree. It's the 3rd year of my 2 year plan.

Lyndon was born in Boise, Idaho. He has moved throughout his life from Boise to Emmett to Fruitland, and finally to Weiser. He started 1st grade in Weiser and went straight through school here. He graduated Weiser High School in 2005. In the fall of 05, he went to Boise Bible College for a degree in Preaching. He is in his last year there, getting his bachelors degree.

We met when we were really young in church. We grew up together through school, were really good friends, but never thought of each other in "that" way. He got an internship at Weiser Christian Church and my family were members there. One day, we saw the sparkle in each other. He invited me to his grandmas for a BBQ. And the rest in history. He proposed to me on July 25, 2008 after the Kellie Pickler concert. Of course, I said yes!!

Now, its planning time. This is just a blog to keep people updated on us, what is going on in our lives, and to see the changes we make throughout our experiences. Hope you enjoy!
