Riding In The Fire Truck
Gathering Eggs
Last night we went out to Lyndon's grandparents house for a BBQ. They live on a cute farm with chickens, cows, horses, a donkey, and dogs and cats. Alden LOVES going out there and seeing the animals.
For dinner we had hamburgers, potato salad, veggies, deviled eggs, and corn on the cob. So, the leftover corn on the cob Alden was able to feed to the horse and donkey.
Then, we went and saw the chickens. We needed to gather eggs from the coop, so Alden and Lyndon went in with Grandma Kay and gathered a total of 15 for the day. Alden was so proud of himself. :)
It was a great night. :)Thursday, June 21, 2012
Get Your Groove On!
Fiddle Festival Definition: The National Oldtime Fiddlers Contest and Festival happens every 3rd Week of June in Weiser, ID. Fiddlers from around the country (And world) come to compete, jam, and enjoy the festivities. Our whole town changes during this time, and I bet our little 5,000 population town doubles in size this week.
there is so much going on this week. We have two main parks that have entertainment, carnival, food booths, and other vendors. The high school is packed with fiddlers watching the show and competing. Behind our high school, there is RV's everywhere.
There are so many different events going on each day of the week. The one's we look forward to is Kid's Day in the Park on Friday. We also like to go to the park and listen to the entertainment, drink lemonade, and maybe have a corndog, an Indian Taco, or a funnel cake. On Saturday, there is a parade in the morning and then the Fire Departments have their annual hose competition that Lyndon competes in. Alden may be riding in the fire truck this year!!! Because he is a big boy! We will see.
Yesterday, my dancers were the entertainment at Memorial Park. Afterward, I sat with my family and drank Lemonade and listened to some local singers on stage. Alden loved it. They have a small dance floor in the grass in front of the stage, so my niece Emma and Alden went out and danced their hearts out. It was too cute!
The weather was a nice 80 degrees yesterday! Being 32 weeks pregnant, it made for a nice afternoon. Today, it is supposed to be around 97 degrees, so we are planning on staying home today and going and enjoying the festival tomorrow and Saturday. :)
I love living in a small town. :)
32 Weeks
Only 8 weeks left!!!! The countdown begins. I'm am very ready for Collyn to make his appearance, but I know I have to wait 2 more months. Lyndon and I were watching a documentary about babies the other day and when a newborn came on the screen, Lyndon told me he is very excited and ready for Collyn to be here.
ABOUT COLLYN: Collyn weighs about 4 pounds and is around 17 inches in length. He is still moving like crazy even though the doctor said he should be slowing down. Not my children. they find room and kick me like crazy. I never know what position he is in. He changes frequently. Right now, he is head down, but the other day he was sideways.
ABOUT ME: I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions, of course. Not as many as last pregnancy. I think since it is summer I am doing better and staying hydrated. And there are so many yummy drinks to sip on during the summer! I had my doctors appointment yesterday and everything looked great. I had to wait an extra half hour because my doctor was called out to a delivery. But, it was fine. I didn't have Alden with me so I was able to read a magazine and relax for a while. I have gained 3 pounds since my last appointment. Total is 31 pounds. A lot less than last pregnancy! :)
We scheduled my ultrasound and my next appointment at 34 weeks. So, we get to see our little man again! :) Lyndon hopefully will be able to make it to this ultrasound. Our lives are slowing down now. Dance is officially over for the summer. Now, we can concentrate on the house and Collyn's arrival! :)

Update on Parker
My nephew, Parker Ryan, was born on Memorial Day. During his first check-up the doctors office found out that he had lost a whole pound in 4 days. They sent him to the NICU at the childrens Hospital in Boise for further testing. During that time, they found lots of different issues with him. One of the big ones, he wasn't able to suck properly so he was losing weight. He wasn't able to latch onto my sister or suck from a bottle. He is now on a feeding tube and has gained 9 ounces. They figure he will be there for another week or two and hoping he will be able to eat by himself. Last night, he spit up the breastmilk from the feeding tube and it got into one of his lungs. They are changing the feeding tube to go deeper into his stomach to try to help the acid reflux. This poor little guy has been through so much during his little life. I hope I got most of the information correct. There are other things going on, but that is most of the things that I know. Prayers Please! :)
Swimming and Sidewalk Chalk
My sister and baby Parker are in the Children's Hospital in Boise. Parker isn't doing very well. My parents are watching her older girls, Alexie and Emma. They have been there for almost 2 weeks now.
My mom needed a little break, so I told her I would have the girls and Johnny (my little brother)come over and play with Alden for a while the other day. I had just bought Alden a new toddler swimming pool, so I told them to wear their swimsuits and come swimming. The water was a little cold because it was straight out of the hose and the sun hadn't warmed it up at all.
After they were tired of playing outside, everyone came inside, ate a snack, and played in Alden's play room. Around dinner time, my dad came and picked up the kids. Alden LOVED having people over to play. It was a relaxing day.
