Aww! It feels so good to be in my own home.... That is all my own. :) The only thing I'm not fond of right now is the boxes everywhere.
However, we are officially homeowners and Lyndon and I love it. :)
We signed the papers last Thursday and started moving in Monday evening.
The Mens Group from our church volunteered to come Monday evening and help us move. They were here for about 2 hours and moved all the big stuff from our old house to our new one.
The next day, my family came and helped move the rest of the stuff.
Lyndon has been at the old house the last day cleaning up and sweeping. Our old house is being rented out Monday, so we only have a few more days to clean up.
I've been working like crazy (As much as you can at 31 weeks)putting the house together and getting everything in their places. It's an interesting task with a one year old. He tries to help, but he's not too helpful. :)
I set up the living room, so at least one room would feel homey. We painted the walls a tan/brown color called Burnt Almond. And when I say we, I mean my hubby and my mom. :)
Here is a picture before we moved in.
Here is a picture of after we set it up. Ignore my child on the couch, on a toy.... Yes- He's a climber. I've learned to deal with it! :) Nothing surprises me anymore.
I will keep updating while I get each room set up. :) It's so nice to have a home that is OURS! :)
This morning I had my 30 week appointment. It went good.
I only gained 1/2 a pound the last 3 weeks, which makes me happy. I have gained 28 1/2 pounds this pregnancy. Way less than last time. Collyn sounded good. His heart rate was 150. He is head down but not engaged. His head is laying in my left pelvic bone. Which, I can feel often. He is sitting really low. The doctor said that was normal for a 2nd pregnancy.
He isn't worried about the Braxton Hicks contractions. He said to put my feet up a little more and keep drinking water. :)
Since we are moving within the next week, Lyndon asked about paint fumes and if I can be around them. The doctor gave me a go to be around it, but not to do much painting. And no moving big boxes. :)
Things are going good with this pregnancy so far. I have another doctors appointment in 2 weeks. :)
I will post a picture of the belly later.
Whose idea was it to be pregnant during the summer?? Even though this pregnancy wasn't planned... We could have planned a little better. :) Haha!
Being due in August is going to make for a very long and very hot summer. We have so much going on this summer, I just need to remember to rest as much as possible and drink lots of water! We have lots coming up.
The dance studio is performing at a local festival in town, The National Oldtime Fiddlers Contest and Festival. We do this every year and its not too bad, but I will be 32 weeks along when we perform.
We are also almost closed on our house so we will be moving soon. I'm very excited to be in our new house, but the process of getting there and getting set up is making me a little antsy. Being almost 8 months pregnant and moving in the summer.... Hmmmm....
On the good side of things, summer means fun in the sun! Alden is loving being outside. The house we are living in now has a lousy front and back yard for a toddler. Our new house has an amazing backyard and I am so excited. However, in the evenings, we all go outside and color on the sidewalks or Alden will run through the sprinkler.
A few days ago, Alden and Daddy played with the water hose and Alden got to do what every child needs to do during the summer.... He drank out of the hose. Nothing is better than that!!! :)
Our family is definitely enjoying summertime weather.
